Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese HIV-AIDS Program Van Driver in Waukegan, Illinois

Essential Functions* of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below:1. Creates a functional schedule for transporting participants to accommodate their attendance at their appointments via agency van or through the contracted taxi company.2. Communicates with contracted taxi company to arrange rides for client appointments.3. Completes and maintains driver vehicle logs and client/site documentation in accordance of agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.4. Operates the vehicle safely, including but not limited to checking fuel level, lights, obeying traffic laws, and not allowing unauthorized riders and will report any problems, malfunctions, and/or accidents in a timely manner.5. Responsible for scheduling regular vehicle maintenance and notifying supervisor if any repairs are needed for approval.6. Ensures the safety of participants at all times, including but not limited to while transporting participants to and from the sites.7. Knowledgeable about relevant laws; Child Abuse and Neglect, Duty to Warn, Mental Health Code and notify supervisor immediately with any concerns in regards to participants.8. This Position may require the operation of Heavy Machinery as defined in the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago Family and Parish Support Services Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.

X Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day. X Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds.X Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time.X Lift up to 50 pounds. Education and Experience Requirements:

Relevant Education:Preferred: High SchoolMinimum: GEDRelevant Experience:Preferred: 3-5 Years including large vehicle operation. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Five year clear driving record.Minimum: 1 Year including large vehicle operation. Two year clear driving record.
