The Inbound Trainer will collaborate with operations personnel to integrate Safety & Training into all activities and decision-making processes at the warehouse. Must be flexible to train on all shifts.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct new hire safety orientations ensuring all employees have a good understanding of safety within the facility.

  • Develop and implement a forklift training program to train newly hired forklift operators how to use the equipment safely and with a high degree of proficiency.

  • Re-certify forklift operators as required by OSHA.

  • Re-train employees as needed when a work-related accident/incident has occurred. Complete employee accident/injury reports, track and report any near miss incidents.

  • Document all safety training.

  • Advise warehouse management on safety issues, policies and procedures and implementation.

  • Attend manager meetings as requested and employee shift start up meetings exhibiting a safety presence and safety culture in the warehouse.

  • Work with managers and supervisors to ensure the facility is audit ready every day.

  • Maintain industry knowledge through company sponsored training and education seminars and classes.

  • Learn all Warehouse functionalities and support all departments as needed.

  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

    Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate/Diploma/GED

  • 2-3 years ’ experience in Forklift Operations

  • No Safety Violations within the last 24 months

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be possess effective communication skills, both written and oral, in order to convey information effectively and professionally.

  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time.

  • Must be able to operate EPJ, Stand-up FL, Reach-truck, and Turret.

  • Must have strong attention to detail and comfortable working independently to achieve expectations.

  • Must be well organized and able to communicate effectively with various departments within the organization.

  • Requires good judgment and decision-making ability in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be dependable and demonstrate the ability to follow directions.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Complete the OSHA Train the Trainer Program

    Physical Demands/Work Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/and or move up to 40 pounds and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts.

  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.

  • Regular bending, lifts, stretching and reaching below the waist and above the head.

  • Must be able to work in environments of variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of the building without limitations.

  • Ability and availability to work irregular and extended hours including weekends, holidays as needed by the business.

  • Follows all safety procedures and reports safety issue according to company policies. Employee is required to use safety equipment as is appropriate to work to prevent injury to self or others

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
