Air Products is a Fortune 500 leading manufacturer of industrial gases, and we have full time Class B Truck Driver/Technician positions available at our Orland Park, IL facility!

This is a middle to night shift position, requiring a late afternoon-early evening start time.

The technician will service customer sites in the areas of Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin as well as traveling to service customers in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and other areas as needed.

You will be responsible for the safe delivery of liquid helium to selected customer sites and transfer the product into their MRI equipment. You must work safely following all DOT, OSHA compliance and ISO 9000 requirements for filling equipment. Every day, you will have direct interactions with customers, requiring excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and a positive can-do attitude because you are the face of Air Products! Safe operation of company delivery vehicles and compliance with DOT is also required.

We provide full training, certification, tools and equipment to the selected technician.

You must possess an overall ability to perform periodic unsupervised services in a safe and efficient manner. Because of this, you must be an independent problem solver and worker, with the ability to quickly make decisions, drawing on past training and experience.


  • Valid CDL Class B with HazMat endorsement

  • Minimum 3 years’ current CDL Class A or B driving experience

  • No more than 1 citation within the last 3 years

  • 0 At-fault accidents in the past 3 years

  • Ability to enter and work in a high magnetic field environment

  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills

  • Basic computer skills (MS Windows and Office knowledge required)

  • Proven solid, safety record and stable work history

  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as required by business needs

  • Overnight extended travel is required may be 20 – 30%. Must be agreeable to temporary assignment outside of area, sometimes on short notice.
