Supervisor, Warehousing and Services is responsible for supervising warehouses supporting manufacturing materials management and services for the API Pilot Plant in Lake County. The Supervisor will ensure the Manager’s expectations for routine activities are met and may manage small projects within the area. Responsible to ensure facilities meet AbbVie external or internal customer expectations and support. Must maintain all Quality, Regulatory, Financial and Global Trade Compliance expectations for the area. Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEA, OSHA, GTC, TSA and other regulatory expectations. Expected to maintain efficient and compliant operations ready to meet any internal, customer or regulatory audit. Required to maintain a safe and secure facility ensuring employee safety and product integrity. The Supervisor is expect to meet assigned goals and KPI’s and assure capacity, system and technology is capable of supporting the assigned area.
Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
Ensure daily tasks are completed per schedule including receiving, sampling, staging and shipping
Ensure directed reports are appropriately trained to complete assigned tasks and completes performance reviews as scheduled
Monitor daily work operations and provides direction to predominantly nonexempt and entry level staff to achieve unit or departmental goals
Interact with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures
Develop work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources
Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources within the assigned area or related departments; facilitates others participation in the continuous improvement program; investigates and solves basic problems that impacts work process and personnel within a unit or department
Bachelor degree preferred with 2+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
May be required to attain Controlled Drug Agent status gained by passing the security screening process and training process depending on department
Must be able to read and understand procedures written in English
Experience in SAP transactions related to manufacturing and warehouse is preferred
Experience in working with GTC and the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) is preferred

Continuous walking for prolonged periods (more than 2 hours at a time in an 8 hour day)
