TheTruck Spotterwill:

  • Spot trailers in doors based upon which freezer the product is coming from.

  • Spot trailers for Line supply based upon the needs for production.

  • Change out Scrap trailers when needed.

  • Notify Bakery feeds trailer is full.

  • Direct traffic of incoming truck drivers.

  • Maintain inventory of drop trailers on lot.

  • Maintain shipping schedule.

  • Maintain cleanliness of drop lot.

  • Inspect all loading paperwork and schedules for accuracy.

  • Record date and loading time on paperwork.

  • Record information on manifest and ship confirm in inventory management system.

  • Prepare Bills of Lading and manifest for driver.

  • Instruct driver of required temperature setting for finished product.

  • Ensure correct procedures are followed for a hold product.

  • Perform physical inventories, as required.

  • Ensure proper cleanup of any damages or spills that occur while performing job duties.

  • Perform the required maintenance and battery changes to forklifts used by Forklift Operators.

  • Perform other duties incidental to the job as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Lifting requirements may include lifting from 20 pounds up to working with 75 pound pallets.

  • Must be able to drive a forklift and maintain a forklift operator’s license.

  • Most possess current, valid Driver's License.

WORKING CONDITIONSThe shipping work area is environmentally controlled and is usually maintained at 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The forklift operator works in the freezer areas for extended periods of time which will range from -10 to 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Outside work will vary in temperature and conditions.

TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:

  • Associate is trained on the job for two (2) weeks and should be able to perform the job proficiently after an additional two (2) weeks of experience.

  • Associate must be able to read, write, perform simple arithmetic, operate a computerized warehouse system, and keep accurate and legible records, monitor and enter data into a computerized workstation.

  • Must be able to drive a forklift and maintain an operator’s license.
