Job Description Summary:

BASIC FUNCTION: The Receiving Agent is responsible for receiving and securing all goods including, but not limited to fresh perishable food, alcoholic beverages, chemicals, paper goods and general building supplies.

Job Description:


High school diploma or equivalent. Three years experience in a hotel or conference center environment. Preferred one-year supervisory skills. Experience working with chemicals. Knowledge of kitchen equipment. Organizational skills. Positive demeanor, a role model of positive behavior and actions.


Manage all suppliers coming in and out of the dock loading zone. Coordinate and control all products coming in and out of the facility through use of purchase orders and return requests from respective manager. Ensure all proteins and perishable products are weighed and are received at the appropriate safety temperatures. Control ordering through approved Purchase Order System and protocols. Assure that boxes and trash are removed at the appropriate times from the kitchen and dock. Monitor the chemical par levels for kitchen and mop sink stations, and coordinate orders with Sous Chef. Monitor and maintain cleaning standards in dock and all areas that products travel through. Maintain dock sanitation as per Health Department standards. Ensure dock Covid-19 safety protocols per Benchmark standards are followed by staff and delivery teams. Ensure that safe working practices are being followed by staff and delivery teams.


Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by Director of Finance, Executive Chef, or General Manager. Assist Security staff and/or monitoring equipment. Delivery of goods or services to meeting room location for specific event. Assist with clearing of entrance or egress during inclement weather.
