The Operator is responsible for learning all aspects of the production operation such as loading/unloading bulk sugar, melt processing, and packaging by performing the following duties.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for equipment start up and observation of possible malfunctions
Reports malfunctions to supervisor and makes minor adjustments or repairs (i.e. opening valves)
Execute melt, bulk load/unloading, and packaging processes according to process/procedure
Performs quality control in accordance to standardized process/procedure
completes all necessary paperwork according to process/procedure
Replenishes packaging supplies as necessary
Open to cross-functional training in all areas of operation
Participates in customer/federal audits as assigned
All other duties as assigned
Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing or similar industry required
Prior experience troubleshooting equipment strongly preferred
Prior experience operating a forklift preferred
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
