Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese CDL Truck Driver in Chicago, Illinois

Essential Functions* of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below:1. Completes and maintains driver vehicle logs and client/site documentation in accordance of agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.2. Loads trucks to ensure proper balance in accordance with State of Illinois regulations.3. Responsible for ensuring the correct number of pallets are loaded onto the truck for delivery and that the correct number is delivered to the correct WIC location.4. Operates a forklift and electric power jack in compliance with machinery and programmatic requirements.5. Collects damaged goods from WIC Food Centers and returns the items to the Warehouse6. Returns and bails the recyclables collected from the WIC Food Centers.7. Cleans truck daily to ensure that it is prepared for the following day deliveries.8. Completes all required documentation in accordance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing, funding or accrediting bodies.9. This position may require the operation of Heavy Machinery as defined in the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago Community Development & Outreach Services Drug and Alcohol Policy (CDOS Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy).

X Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day. X Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.X Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time.X Lift up to 50 pounds. Education and Experience Requirements:

Relevant Education:Preferred: Associate's Degree Minimum: High School

Relevant Experience:Preferred: 5 Years large vehicle operations.Experience in operating a forklift.Minimum: 2 Years large vehicle operations.

Certification/Licensure:Preferred: CDL Minimum: CDL. Will be required to pass the Forklift Certification within 90 days of hire
