Job Description
Accurately and efficiently move product and material throughout the distribution process.
Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals and environment.
Operate various types of forklifts to move product through the distribution process including unloading, put away, picking, and loading process, which may include hand loading and unloading of containers.
Prepare product for inbound receipt and/or shipment including palletizing, re-palletizing, and carton labeling, ensuring that all warehouse and customer requirements are met.
Other related and similar duties as assigned.
Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
Understand verbal and written instructions. Able to effectively communicate with the team.
Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules and guidelines in order to prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Physical presence at designated worksite, work a 40-hour work schedule, maintain consistent and acceptable attendance and work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands.
Pay close attention to detail, and follow instructions and procedures to meet quality standards.
Work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude.
Successfully complete and pass reqired Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and test, and maintain appropriate PIV licensing.
Use Radio Frequency (RF) units.
Able to work in a machine based environment
Able to manage and prioritize multiple assignments/tasks simultaneously, and demonstrate organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Perform repetitive tasks as required.
Perform pre-shift stretching (includes: bending, reaching and stretching with hands, arm, legs and feet and bending and twisting waist) as required for position.
